The legendary Mike Bloomfield (of Bob Dylan, Paul Butterfield, Electric Flag and Super Sessions fame) shares guitar rifts with King Koop in the are-you-having-fun-yet 6th track, "Slider" (circa 1972). With the late-great Bloomfield on slide, acoustic and electric guitars, King Koop on electric reinforces the bass line with Paul Butterfield alumni bassist Jerome Arnold. Also featured are Lotti Golden on vocals, Bob Jones on drums and George Michalski on piano. "Blues with Mike" from the same session date (originally featured in Crawdaddy Magazine circa 1973) showcases Bloomfield's spectacular solo prowess over a rock-solid King Koop rhythm made up of Koop's signature vibrattoed ninth cords and T-Bone Walker-like half-step pulls and pushes. Bloomfield fans will want to add this track to their collection. Friends for many years, these two songs represent the only recordings in existence of Michael Bloomfield and King Koop together.
